The Rich Editor is a multifunctional content editor implemented in TestsPlatform.

Available Inputs

You can use its features in the following text input fields:

  • Test’s description
  • Question input
  • Input for answer options
  • Question’s explanation

Main Rich-Editor Menu

To start using the editor, click on any of the fields above. When you activate an input, you will see a “Plus” icon on the left. Clicking on it will open the rich editor menu. You can also open the menu by typing the symbol ”/”.

The menu includes the following options:

  1. Hero: A large, bold font recommended for main titles.
  2. Paragraph: The default text style with normal width and size.
  3. Heading 2: A header component smaller than Hero.
  4. Heading 3: A header component smaller than Heading 2.
  5. Bulleted List: An unnumbered list where each item starts with a dot.
  6. Numbered List: A numbered list where items are numbered sequentially.
  7. Image: Opens a modal window to upload images.
  8. Code: A component for code with a dark background and white monospace font.
  9. Quote: Formats text as a quote with a gray stripe on the left.

The full menu is available only in the test description field. The other input fields have an abbreviated menu, missing some components like headers or image insertion.

Additional menu

When you enter text in these inputs and then select it, a secondary rich editor menu becomes available. This menu includes additional text editing options:

  • Bold
  • Italiс
  • Underline
  • Strikethrought

It also includes a tool for creating links.

Tricks:

  • if you are pasting a text from another website and it destroys your list or header, try to paste it with a combination “CTRL+SHIFT+V” or “CMD+SHIFT+V”
