Who Can See Your Tests?

TestsPlatform tests are not publicly listed and not indexed by search engines by default. A test is only accessible to someone who has the link. This means:
  • Your test won’t appear in Google search results unless you explicitly make it public
  • No one can browse or discover your tests without a direct link
  • You have full control over who gets the link

Controlling Access

When you create a link for your test, you have several tools to restrict who can actually use it:

Password protection

Add a password to the link. Anyone who opens the link will be asked to enter the password before starting the test. Share the password only with the people you want to let in.

Usage limit

Set a maximum number of times the link can be used. Once the limit is reached, the link stops working. Useful for one-time-use links in recruitment (one link per candidate). If you want to stop access entirely, archive or delete the link. Existing assessments are preserved, but no new attempts are possible.

Named assessments

Ask applicants to enter a name or ID before starting. This doesn’t restrict access but lets you identify who took the test.

Who Owns Your Content?

You do. Authors retain full ownership of everything they create on TestsPlatform — tests, questions, and explanations. By publishing content, you grant TestsPlatform a license to host and display it as part of the service. This is standard for any web platform and doesn’t transfer ownership to us. The full legal language is in Section 3.1 of the Terms of Use. You can delete your content at any time. If you delete your account, your tests become unavailable for new assessments. Applicants who already completed your tests can still view their own results. If you want all content removed (including from past assessment history), contact support@testsplatform.com.

AI Features and Your Data

When you use AI features (generating questions, importing from documents, free answer review), your content is sent to OpenAI’s API for processing. You can choose not to use AI features if you prefer to keep your content entirely within TestsPlatform. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

Applicant Data

When applicants take your tests, their answers and results are stored on TestsPlatform and accessible to you (as the test author) based on your link settings. You are responsible for handling that data appropriately — especially if you’re collecting names, IDs, or other personal information. See Section 6 of the Terms of Use for your obligations as a data controller.
